The Pennsylvania Educational Alliance for Citizenship (PEAC) is dedicated to effective implementation of citizenship standards. The citizenship standards include the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Civics and Government, Economics, Geography, and History. PEAC seeks to increase an individual’s comprehension and consciousness in order to become a more enlightened citizen.
PEAC provides high quality professional development opportunities, standards-based articulation of curriculum, instruction and assessment, and a variety of program evaluations. The Pennsylvania Educational Alliance for Citizenship can assist you by developing critical thinkers, effective communicators, and intelligent interpreters of American heritage.

2010 Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers
June 17-22, 2010
The institute is open to secondary level social studies teachers & supervisors
The Supreme Court Summer Institute provides teachers with a valuable opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn new methods for teaching about the Supreme Court of the United States.
Spend six days with high-caliber instructors and expert resource people who lead their respective fields
Visit the Court to hear decisions and attend a private reception
Engage in a thorough study of nine recent Supreme Court cases
Participate in sessions on the certiorari process, judicial nominations, interest groups, the media, online resources, and judicial philosophies
