The Pennsylvania State Board of Education implemented academic standards under 22 Pennsylvania Code Chapter 4.   The "citizenship" standards exist for civics and government, economics, geography, and history.  The links to the left summarizes the thrust of the respective standards and includes helpful links to organizations that can assist teachers with quality programs and teacher training.  In addition to four "citizenship" standard areas additional information is available from state and national social studies organizations.
